Alivia Ingebretson
Associate Attorney
Biography
Alivia Ingebretson is an associate attorney based in the Mayville office of Nilson Brand Law, where her practice focuses primarily on family law, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, and child support matters. In addition to her family law practice, she represents clients across a broad range of legal matters throughout North Dakota.
Alivia also serves as the part-time Assistant State’s Attorney for Traill and Steele Counties, North Dakota, giving her valuable courtroom and prosecutorial experience that strengthens her advocacy on behalf of clients. She also has experience representing clients in federal criminal defense matters, providing her with a diverse perspective on legal advocacy and the ability to evaluate cases from both sides of the courtroom.
Born and raised in a small town in western North Dakota, Alivia developed a strong work ethic through her farm and ranch upbringing-values that continue to shape her approach to practicing law today. She is known for her willingness to go the extra mile when a case demands it and for providing clients with practical, steady guidance during difficult and emotionally challenging situations.
In addition to her legal background, Alivia holds a degree in managerial finance and accounting, giving her a strong understanding of financial analysis and complex financial matters. Her financial background is especially valuable in cases involving property division, business interests, child support calculations, and other financially sensitive family law issues.
Outside of the office, Alivia enjoys spending time with her husband and their son. She combines small-town values, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach to help individuals and families navigate legal matters with confidence and clarity.
