Business as usual

The last two weeks seem to have turned the world on its head and has affected almost all areas of life, including work. Many individuals are working from home for the first time. At Nilson Brand Law, we decided approximately two weeks ago to limit in-office appointments and have our wonderful staff work remotely from home. This was done with the hope of stopping the spread of COVID-19.

We are lucky in that we designed our law firm, from the start, to have the ability to work from anywhere with an internet connection. This means that our staff can access all case related information and continue to assist our attorneys on new, current and potential cases. When an individual calls our office number, our staff and attorneys can be reached anywhere as long as they have their cell phones.

On Monday we made the difficult, but correct, decision to temporarily close our offices and have our attorneys work from home. To say this first week of having our entire office working remotely has been different would be an epic understatement.  However, our firm is committed to continuing to provide great representation to our clients regardless of the circumstances.

This first week of having a “remote office” has shown we can provide great legal services despite not being in a physical office with one another. While we miss our colleagues, we still communicate with each other every day regarding cases and legal issues.

” Even though our clients’ focus may not be on their cases, our attorneys continue to practice law as they always have, except they may now be answering your call from their kitchen table.”

Taking it Day by Day

Our office, like everyone else out there, is taking the COVID-19 outbreak on a day to day basis. Our first priority is our staff and clients’ health. We made the decision to temporarily close the office to be part of the effort to flatten the curve and slow down the viral outbreak. If having to temporarily close our office doors means that we slow the spread, it is well worth it.

We also recognize that right now the focus for many of our clients is not on their legal case. Our clients are trying to navigate the treacherous waters of working from home, figuring out how to homeschool their children, and keep their family and friends safe and healthy.

All the staff and attorneys at Nilson Brand Law are facing similar circumstances. Our attorneys are not afraid to head into a courtroom but the thought of homeschooling our children strikes fear in our hearts. Even though our clients’ focus may not be on their cases, our attorneys continue to practice law as they always have, except they may now be answering your call from their kitchen table.

Long story short, we are here to serve you and will continue to pursue your cases or potential legal matter. Please call or email if you have any questions regarding your case or potential matter.

Stay safe & healthy, The attorneys and staff at Nilson Brand Law
